Kalunga our guide from Northern Zambia tells us a little bit more about the wonders of our South Africa and Mozambique Beach and Bush safari. This safari really captures the essence of diversity with the excitement of wildlife and the calm relaxing time spent at the beach.
"On the Mozambique & Kruger Beach and Bush tour we travel down to the mighty Zulu Kingdom of KwaZulu Natal where we stay in Mkuzi Game Reserve. Mkuzi is such a great game reserve and always delivers, it is one of my favourite reserves. On our second day in the reserve we were lucky to see two magnificent lions on a kill. They had killed a young wildebeest, and they were so close, only about 20 to 25 metres from the road! We watched as they were lazily feeding on the carcass. We were clearly in luck on this game drive because we were then fortunate to also see a white rhino at the waterhole the same day in the evening.
From Zululand we head to Kosi bay and then Swaziland. When in Swaziland we stay at Hlane Royal Game Reserve which is always such a treat because it is home to many endangered Rhino’s. The rhino are fiercely protected by the rangers in an effort to curb the slaughter of this highly endangered and beautiful animal.
After a week of terrific game viewing we then entered Mozambique and visit Maputo with its Portuguese influences, before heading up to Inhambane with its stunning white beaches and charismatic local culture.
To end off this tour, we spend two nights in the world renowned Kruger National Park. The same day we arrived we saw two leopards! One was at a distance and the other on the side of the road at about 10 to 13 metres.
This was a truly wonderful Bush and Beach Safari that delivered incredible game viewing, new cultural experiences and relaxing days on the beach."
